  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 green cardamom pods
  • 2 black cardamom pods
  • 1/2 inch mace
  • 1 star anise
  • 6 cloves
  • 5 black peppercorns
  • 3 dry red chilies

Instructions:

  1. Combine the powdered spice mix ingredients in one bowl and the whole spice mix ingredients in another.
  2. Heat a medium pan over medium heat and add some oil. Add the whole spice mix and fry for 2-4 minutes to release their fragrance.
