I’ve recently had this latte at Starbucks and was itching to have it again. However I wanted to attempt to make it myself this time! This delicious recipe combines the earthy taste of matcha with the sweetness of strawberries and the creaminess of oat milk, resulting in a perfectly balanced and flavourful drink!
Strawberry Matcha Oat Milk Latte Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 4-5 tsp homemade strawberry jam (see my blog for how to make a fruit jam)
- 3g matcha
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 2 tbsp erythritol / sugar
- 1 cup oat milk
- Ice cubes (fill as you desire)
Instructions:
- Make the matcha topping by combining the hot water with matcha in a small container. Use a bamboo whisk to get rid of any clumps.
- Add in the erythritol and heavy cream. Mix well.
- With a hand milk frother, mix the matcha heavy cream mixture until foamy. Set aside.
- In a latte cup, add in the strawberry jam, then the ice cubes (up to 3/4 of the cup).
- Add in the oat milk, then layer the matcha foam all on top.
- Stir and enjoy!
Notes:
- For a sweeter latte, use sugar instead of erythritol.
- Homemade strawberry jam is preferred to avoid added sugars and preservatives.
- Adjust ice cubes to your preference for a colder or less diluted latte.
